What is Alma Harmony?

In modern aesthetic medicine today, there is a truly large number of treatments that can improve the quality and appearance of the skin. Because of this, it is completely understandable why many patients often find themselves in a dilemma – which treatment is actually best for their specific problem. Sometimes it is an uneven complexion, sometimes pigmentation or capillaries, sometimes acne, scars or the first signs of skin ageing. Every skin is different and requires a carefully chosen approach. Precisely for this reason, modern platforms such as the Alma Harmony XL PRO system have been developed. Its major advantage is that it combines several different technologies in a single device. This allows the doctor to choose the most appropriate treatment and approach for each patient, in accordance with the problem we want to solve, the condition of the skin and the expected results. The platform contains various laser and light modules that can be used separately, but also combined within a single therapeutic strategy. In this way, it is possible to approach the skin on multiple levels and achieve natural, gradual and more long-lasting results.

Harmony lasers

One of the greatest advantages of the Alma Harmony XL PRO system is that it combines several different technologies into a single platform. Instead of using a separate device for each problem, this system enables different indications to be treated using precisely chosen modules within the same device.

This means the treatment can be tailored to the specific skin issue – whether it is rejuvenation, the removal of pigmentation, treatment of thread veins, acne, scars, or improving skin texture.

Alma Harmony XL PRO combines multiple types of technology, including laser, intense pulsed light (IPL) and infrared energy. Each of them acts on different structures in the skin – pigment, blood vessels, bacteria or collagen – which enables targeted resolution of various dermatological and aesthetic problems.

A major advantage of this type of system is that treatments can be combined within a single therapy plan. In this way, it is possible to work on multiple aspects of skin quality simultaneously – for example, removing pigmentation, reducing redness and improving skin texture.

The Harmony XL PRO platform was developed by Alma Lasers and is used in dermatological and aesthetic clinics worldwide. Thanks to the large number of available modules, this platform enables the treatment of a wide range of dermatological and aesthetic indications.

The Alma Harmony XL PRO platform uses various laser and light technologies that act on specific structures in the skin. Depending on the issue we want to treat, the energy is directed at pigment, blood vessels, acne-causing bacteria, or deeper layers of the skin where collagen production is stimulated.

When we talk about laser technologies, the Harmony XL PRO uses both ablative and non-ablative lasers. The difference between them lies in how they affect the skin.

Non-ablative lasers work in the deeper layers of the skin, whilst the surface layer remains intact. Their energy stimulates skin regeneration and collagen production, which leads to a gradual improvement in skin texture, the reduction of fine lines, and the evening out of skin tone. The advantage of these treatments is that they require no downtime and can be performed all year round.

Ablative lasers, on the other hand, act more intensely as they create microscopic channels in the superficial layer of the skin. This triggers a powerful process of skin regeneration and renewal, which leads to more pronounced results when it comes to rejuvenation, the removal of acne scars, wrinkles or skin imperfections. Following such treatments, a short recovery period is required, which usually lasts a few days.

Alongside laser technologies, Harmony XL PRO also uses IPL technology (intense pulsed light). This technology targets pigment and blood vessels in the skin, making it particularly effective in the treatment of pigmentation, blemishes, capillaries, redness and rosacea. The light energy heats the targeted structures in the skin and gradually removes them, while the surrounding tissue remains intact.

Thanks to the combination of these technologies, it is possible to approach various skin problems in a precise and controlled way, while tailoring the treatment to each patient and their skin type.

The Alma Harmony XL PRO platform consists of several different modules that can be used individually or combined within a single treatment plan. This very flexibility enables various skin problems to be addressed precisely and in a targeted manner.

ClearSkin PRO (Er:Glass)

ClearSkin PRO is a non-ablative laser most commonly used to treat acne and acne scars, as well as to improve overall skin quality. The laser's energy penetrates into deeper layers of the skin, where it acts on the sebaceous glands and the bacteria that contribute to acne.

Additionally, ClearSkin PRO stimulates collagen production, which helps improve skin texture and reduce the visibility of scars. The treatment requires no downtime, with possible mild redness for a few hours, and is suitable for various skin types.

ClearLift PRO (Q-Switched Nd:YAG)

ClearLift is a non-ablative laser also known as the “lunchtime laser” because there is no downtime after treatment, with mild redness possible for a few hours. It is used for skin rejuvenation, improving texture, and removing pigmentation and melasma.

The laser acts in the deeper layers of the skin, where it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, whilst the surface layer of the skin remains intact. The result is a gradual improvement in skin tone and a fresher appearance.

iPIXEL (Er:YAG 2940)

iPIXEL is a fractional ablative laser used for intensive skin regeneration. It is most commonly applied in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and more pronounced skin imperfections.

The laser creates microscopic channels in the skin that trigger a powerful tissue regeneration and collagen stimulation process. Due to its more intense action, a shorter recovery period is required after the treatment.

Dye-VL PRO

The Dye-VL module uses advanced light technology to treat vascular and pigmented skin lesions. This technology targets haemoglobin and melanin, making it particularly effective in the treatment of capillaries, redness, rosacea and various pigmentations.

The treatment helps to even out skin tone and reduce the visibility of tiny blood vessels on the skin.

More about the treatment: DYE VL.

NIR module (Near Infrared)

The NIR module uses infrared energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin. In this way, it stimulates collagen production and contributes to skin tightening and the improvement of its tone.

This treatment is often used for sagging facial and neck skin, as well as in non-surgical rejuvenation treatments.

Alma Impact

Alma Impact uses ultrasound technology to introduce active ingredients and mesoquettes into the skin. This technology enables better penetration of active substances and is often combined with other laser treatments to further improve results.

Thanks to various modules and technologies, the Alma Harmony XL PRO platform enables the treatment of a wide range of dermatological and aesthetic skin conditions. Treatments can be tailored to the skin's condition, skin type and treatment goals, making it possible to take an individual approach to every patient.

Lasers from this platform are most commonly used for skin quality improvement, rejuvenation and treating various facial and body imperfections.

The most common indications for Alma Harmony laser treatments include:

• pigmentation skin blemishes
• capillaries and vascular changes
• skin redness and rosacea
• acne and acne scars
• enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
• fine lines and wrinkles
• loss of skin tone and elasticity
• stretch marks and various skin imperfections

Treatments can be performed on the face, neck, décolletage, hands and other body regions, depending on the indication and the chosen technology. In many cases, it is possible to combine multiple modules to simultaneously work on different aspects of skin quality, which contributes to more natural and longer-lasting results.

Alma Harmony laser prices

The price of Alma Harmony laser treatments depends on the type of module used, the region being treated and the goal of the therapy. Different platform modules (ClearLift, ClearSkin, Dye-VL, Erbium, NIR and others) are used for different indications, so the price of the treatment can also vary depending on the chosen procedure. You can view a detailed price list of all laser treatments on the page Price list, where individual procedures and their prices are listed. For an exact treatment plan and an estimate of the number of procedures required, an examination and consultation with a doctor is recommended, after which the most appropriate laser protocol is proposed.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Out of Alma Lasers they state that their mission is ”creating harmony for patients of all ages”. This laser is unique in that it can be used by almost everyone, including patients with darker skin tones.
The treatment aims to address the patient's age-specific needs based on their history and lifestyle, as well as natural indications that develop with age.

  • aged 16-25: Prevention is key. This is more than half the battle when it comes to maintaining healthy, well-nourished skin for as long as possible. Eliminating spots, blemishes and blackheads. Preserving the fresh and natural look of the skin.
  • Ages 25 to 40: Removal of the first signs of ageing (wrinkles and skin laxity), facial rejuvenation and evening out skin tone.
  • Aged 40-55: A combination of treatments aimed at tightening and rejuvenating the skin of the face, neck, and décolletage.
  • Ages 55 to 75: Patients can benefit greatly from various combination protocols aimed at removing photodamage and age spots. We strive to maintain beautiful, well-nourished skin for as long as possible.

One of the significant advantages of the Alma Harmony XL PRO laser is that most treatments require little to no recovery time. Here we are primarily referring to non-ablative lasers.

How quickly you will see the results of your treatment will depend primarily on the nature of your individual treatment. For example, in the case that you want skin rejuvenation using the ClearLift laser, you will see the true results in the coming weeks, as new collagen is formed and skin tone becomes tighter and stronger. In the case of acne treatment or tattoo removal, it will most commonly take several treatments for you to see the best results.
One of the best things about this laser platform is that we can combine multiple procedures in a single treatment. As a result, fewer treatments are needed to achieve the desired results.

Rest assured that this treatment has been thoroughly researched and is FDA-approved for dermatological use. It can be used all over the body and on any skin type. In addition, it is safe for all skin tones, which is not the case with all laser treatments.

Any potential side effects associated with the Harmony XL Pro treatment will depend on the nature of your treatment and the module we will be using. In some cases, the skin may become red and feel tight for about 48 hours. Some people, especially those with sensitive skin, may experience minor swelling which can take 2 to 3 days to subside. If you are treating hyperpigmentation, you should be aware that it may initially appear darker before improving.
Before you have any treatment, we will discuss all possible side effects and recovery time with you in detail. That way, you can plan your time and activities in advance.

Contraindications are psoriasis (excluding UVB), cellulitis, Lichen Planus / Lichen Nitidus, renal impairment (acute or chronic), malignancy, multiple sclerosis, vitiligo (excluding UVB), immunosuppressive conditions, keloids, certain photosensitising medications, collagen vascular diseases, synthetic fillers in the treatment region, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If your health is impaired, the use of this treatment is not advised unless approved by your doctor.
