What is Alma PrimeX?
Alma PrimeX combines two technologies that act on different tissue layers and therefore produce visible changes in skin contour and quality. Ultrasound waves target the fatty tissue and lead to a reduction in fat deposits, as demonstrated by a pilot study conducted on this device (the source is cited at the bottom of the page). At the same time, radiofrequency energy heats the deeper layers of the skin, activates existing collagen and elastin, and stimulates the production of new collagen. As a result, the skin becomes firmer and more elastic, and the treated region is tighter and better shaped.

How does Alma PrimeX work?
Alma PrimeX operates with two probes that can be used individually or in combination. The ultrasonic probe acts on subcutaneous fatty tissue, while the radio frequency probe heats deeper skin layers and stimulates collagen production. During the treatment, a warm sensation is felt, and no recovery period is required afterwards.
Who is the Alma PrimeX treatment for?
Alma PrimeX treatment is designed for individuals who want to improve their body contours and reduce localised fat deposits that are often difficult to eliminate through diet or physical activity alone.
The treatment is most commonly applied to people who want to:
• reduce localised fat deposits on the stomach, waist, hips or thighs
• improve body contours and shape specific regions
• tighten sagging body skin
• reduce the appearance of cellulite
• improve skin tone and quality
Alma PrimeX is most commonly used for treatments of the stomach, waist, hips, and thighs, but it can also be applied to other areas of the body where there is excess fatty tissue or sagging skin.
Alma PrimeX radio frequency (RF) skin tightening
Radiofrequency technology on the Alma PrimeX platform is used when we want to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and quality. RF energy heats the deeper layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, thereby stimulating the production of collagen and elastin – the proteins responsible for skin firmness and tone.
Due to this effect, radio waves are most commonly used when the main problem is sagging skin, poorer tissue tone or cellulite. The treatment helps the skin become tighter, smoother and more even, and body contours more defined.
The radiowave probe is often used in regions such as:
- stomach
- inner and outer thighs
- upper arms
- hips
- knees
This technology is particularly useful when the skin loses its elasticity after weight loss, pregnancy or the natural ageing process. The gradual heating of the tissue stimulates skin regeneration and contributes to its tightening.
Alma PrimeX ultrasound fat reduction
Ultrasonic technology on the Alma PrimeX device is used when the main issue is localised fatty tissue. Unlike radio waves, which primarily act on the skin, ultrasound targets subcutaneous fat deposits.
Ultrasound energy works on fat cells and helps break down localised fat deposits, which can reduce the circumference of the treated area and improve body contour.
This probe is most commonly used when there is more pronounced fatty tissue in regions such as:
- stomach
- hips and waist
- lower abdomen
- outer thighs
- inner thighs
Because of this, ultrasound is particularly useful for people who have stubborn fatty deposits that are difficult to remove through diet or physical activity.
Combination of technologies
Alma PrimeX before and after

Alma PrimeX reduces localised fat deposits and firms the skin with no recovery time. The photographs show the abdomen, waist and gluteus before and after the treatment: the circumference is smaller and the contour is more defined.
Time between treatments
Most commonly 7 to 14 days
Duration of visit
Usually around 60 minutes
Full effect
During the weeks following the last treatment
Price of the Alma Primex treatment
The price of the Alma PrimeX treatment depends on the number of probes used during the procedure and the area being treated. This device uses two different technologies – ultrasound and radiofrequency – which can be applied individually or in combination. For some patients, a treatment with a single probe is sufficient, for example when the goal is skin tightening or cellulite reduction. In other cases, when there is pronounced fatty tissue alongside sagging skin, the doctor may recommend a combination of both probes to simultaneously target fat deposits and skin quality. Therefore, the treatment protocol is always tailored individually, depending on the area being treated and the tissue condition. You can view a detailed price list on the page Price list.
Have you got a question?
Answers to frequently asked questions
Does Alma PrimeX really “melt” fat or does it just tighten the skin?
Alma PrimeX targets both problems, but through different mechanisms. The ultrasonic component targets fatty tissue and leads to a reduction in fat cell volume, while radio waves affect skin quality and tightening. This means that the circumference can be reduced, but the effect is not the same as surgical fat removal
Are fat cells destroyed or do they just shrink?
Fat cells primarily decrease in volume. In some patients, there is also a permanent loss of some fat cells, but this depends on the region, the thickness of the fat layer and the individual reaction of the organism. This is not liposuction and should not be viewed as such.
Do the kilograms show on the scales after the treatment?
In most cases, no. Alma PrimeX primarily affects body volume and contour rather than overall body weight. Changes are more often noticed in clothing and the mirror than on the scales.
Is cellulite actually removed or is the skin just temporarily “smoothed out”?
In most patients, there is a visible improvement in skin structure and a reduction in the appearance of cellulite. For mild and moderate forms of cellulite, the effects can be longer-lasting, whereas with severe, fibrotic cellulite, an improvement is expected, though not complete removal.
How many treatments Alma PrimeX are needed to see a result?
On average it takes 3 to 4 treatments in order to notice clear changes in volume, skin tightness and the appearance of cellulite. In some patients, the first changes are visible even earlier, but the full effect develops gradually, over the course of several weeks after the final treatment.
Time between treatments
Treatments are most commonly performed at intervals of 7 to 14 days, depending on the type of treatment, the area being treated and the skin's reaction.
How permanent are the results?
Results are not permanent if fundamental factors such as diet and physical activity are completely ignored. If body weight increases significantly, fat deposits may return. With a stable weight, the results are largely maintained.
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients feel a pleasant warmth and slight pressure. In individuals with a lower pain threshold or more sensitive skin, some discomfort may occur, but the treatment is generally well tolerated and does not require recovery time.
Are there any side effects after the treatment?
Transient redness, mild sensitivity or a feeling of warmth most commonly occurs in the treated region, which disappears within a few hours. Mild swelling or bruising may rarely occur, especially in individuals with sensitive capillaries.
Who is not a candidate for the Alma PrimeX treatment?
The treatment is not recommended for pregnant women, individuals with a fitted pacemaker, metal implants in the treatment area, active skin infections, or those with serious systemic illnesses without prior consultation with a physician.
Can Alma PrimeX replace exercise and a healthy diet?
No. Alma PrimeX is an aid and a help in body shaping, especially for localised fat deposits and sagging skin that respond poorly to exercise. It cannot replace the fundamental principles of a healthy lifestyle.
Why do some people see results quicker than others?
Results depend on the thickness of the fat layer, skin elasticity, hormonal status, genetics and lifestyle habits. Therefore, an individual assessment and realistic expectations are always recommended before the treatment.
Can Alma PrimeX be combined with Shockwave therapy?
Yes. Shockwave therapy is often combined with Alma PrimeX treatments because it has a mechanical effect on the fibrous septa in subcutaneous tissue, improves local circulation and facilitates the breakdown of fatty deposits. In practice, Shockwave is most commonly performed between PrimeX treatments or immediately before the radiofrequency phase, especially in cases of pronounced, stubborn cellulite.
Does the combination with Emsculpt treatment make sense?
Yes, but with clear logic. Alma PrimeX affects adipose tissue and skin tightening, while Emsculpt works on muscle mass. The combination is recommended for people who want simultaneous reduction in measurements and better muscle definition. Treatments are not done on the same day, but are planned within an individual protocol.
Is lymphatic drainage mandatory after the Alma PrimeX treatment?
It is not compulsory, but it is very useful. Lymphatic drainage it helps to accelerate the elimination of metabolic waste products from fat cell breakdown and can reduce the feeling of heaviness or mild tenderness after the treatment. It is especially recommended for individuals prone to swelling or slower lymphatic flow.
How is the change in volume measured?
Prior to the first treatment, the area is measured and photographed in the same position and lighting, and the measurement is repeated at the follow-up after the series. The change depends on the initial condition, the number of treatments, diet and physical activity, so a specific number of centimetres cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Contraindications
Alma PrimeX, as well as combinations with shockwave therapy, Emsculpt and lymphatic drainage, are not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, for people with a pacemaker or other electronic implants, metal implants in the treated region, active infections or skin inflammation, malignancies, severe blood clotting disorders, epilepsy, severe cardiovascular diseases, and immediately after surgical procedures in the treated region.
