Body mesotherapy
Body mesotherapy is a medical procedure used for the targeted improvement of skin quality and the treatment of localised fat deposits and cellulite. By injecting carefully selected cocktails, microcirculation and local metabolism are stimulated, which contributes to a smoother texture and a firmer appearance of the skin.

What is body mesotherapy?
It is important for us to feel good in our bodies – healthy, strong and pleased with our own reflection. Yet, the pace of life, stress and lack of movement are often first noticed precisely on the stomach, hips or thighs. Diet and exercise are the foundation, but when we want to purposefully improve skin quality and the shape of individual regions, then we think about medical procedures like mesotherapy. Mesotherapy can be applied to face, hair and body, depending on the indication. When it comes to the body, the treatment involves applying specific cocktails to problem areas, thereby stimulating microcirculation, metabolism and skin regeneration. The skin becomes smoother and firmer, while localised deposits and cellulite are gradually reduced through a series of treatments, with realistic expectations and an individual work plan.

What body problems does mesotherapy solve?
The effect of body mesotherapy depends on the preparation, the region and the initial condition of the skin. After a series of treatments, the aim is:
- better skin hydration;
- improvement of skin tone, elasticity and quality;
- softened appearance of mild and moderate cellulite; severe, fibrous cellulite most frequently requires a combination with other methods, such as cellulite subcision, with which mesotherapy is performed at the Imedic Polyclinic in the same appointment. And you can find out all about how cellulite forms, how to prevent its appearance and what helps with which type, here;
- a slight reduction in volume in the treated region, as a supplement to diet and exercise, not as a weight-loss method;
- skin that feels firmer and smoother.
Mesotherapy does not completely remove cellulite and does not replace lipolysis in cases of more pronounced fatty deposits.
When is the right time for body mesotherapy?
Body mesotherapy is intended for both women and men of various ages. The right time for this treatment is whenever you decide that the moment has come to solve aesthetic problems on your body:
- you want to get rid of cellulite, and let's just mention that another name for mesotherapy is anti-cellulite;
- you want to tighten your skin, shape your body and reduce fat deposits;
- when your skin is dry, dull and insufficiently hydrated.
What are mesotherapy cocktails?
Simply put, mesotherapy cocktails are preparations – combinations of various active ingredients that are injected into the skin to rejuvenate it. The composition of these cocktails is as follows: hyaluronic acid, bioactive peptides, vitamins A, C, D, E, the B vitamin complex, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, enzymes, and caffeine. In other words, everything that the skin loses over time. Through body mesotherapy, we replenish all of this, rejuvenating and hydrating the skin while making it more beautiful. Mesotherapy cocktails stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, the skin's most important building blocks, which are crucial for its youthful appearance.
The doctor performing body mesotherapy must clearly define which aesthetic problem needs to be treated. Accordingly, a mesotherapy cocktail is prepared that corresponds to the condition of the skin and the region being treated.
Which mesotherapy cocktails do we use?
The mesotherapy cocktail we use is RRS HA Cellutrix by the Spanish company Aesthetic Dermal. According to the manufacturer's documentation, RRS HA Cellutrix is designed for body mesotherapy, to improve skin quality in areas affected by cellulite. It contains hyaluronic acid, 8 different antioxidants, 3 vitamins, an amino acid and other trace elements. The aim of the treatment is better skin hydration and firmness, and a reduced appearance of cellulite. The amount of product and the number of treatments are determined by a physician after examining the area.

Have you got a question?
Answers to frequently asked questions
What does body mesotherapy preparation look like?
Body mesotherapy does not require any special preparation. During the consultation, be sure to mention all the medications and supplements you are taking, especially those that affect blood clotting. Never stop or change your therapy on your own: any potential break or postponement of the treatment is decided by the doctor who prescribed your therapy, in agreement with the doctor performing the mesotherapy. Ask about anything that is unclear to you before the treatment.
What does a body mesotherapy treatment look like?
Body mesotherapy is preceded by a detailed consultation with a doctor in order to assess skin quality, the distribution of fatty deposits, and the prominence of cellulite. Following the examination, we define a treatment plan and select the cocktail of active substances that is most appropriate for the specific issue. The skin is cleansed and an anaesthetic cream is applied for greater comfort. Using very fine needles, we apply the preparation into the superficial and middle layers of the skin, and in certain areas deeper into the subcutaneous fatty tissue. In this way, we stimulate lipolysis, accelerate local metabolism, and improve microcirculation, which contributes to the gradual reduction of fatty deposits and the appearance of cellulite. The treatment takes about 30 minutes.
How should you behave after body mesotherapy?
Mild redness, swelling or small bruises may appear at the injection site, which clear up spontaneously. For a few days after the treatment, you should avoid heavy sweating, saunas, solariums and direct sun exposure. Body mesotherapy can be performed all year round, provided the skin is adequately protected from UV radiation.
When will you see the first results?
Initial changes can be noticed after one to two treatments, whereas the full effect develops through a series of procedures.
How many treatments are needed?
Usually, a series of 5 to 10 treatments is performed, with an interval of 7 to 10 days. The exact number depends on the region being treated, the amount of fatty tissue and the goal of the therapy.
Does body mesotherapy hurt?
Thanks to the anaesthetic cream and fine needles, the treatment is minimally uncomfortable and well tolerated, even by individuals with a lower pain tolerance threshold.
Is body mesotherapy safe?
It is a medical procedure that should be performed by a doctor trained in injection techniques. When carried out in controlled conditions and using approved preparations, body mesotherapy is a safe and effective procedure.
Who is body mesotherapy not recommended for?
It is not recommended for people with autoimmune diseases, coagulation disorders, active skin infections, severe allergies, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Caution is also required in patients with severe cardiac diseases, epilepsy, or a pacemaker.
