How does Morpheus8 work?
Over the years, the skin begins to lose its elasticity, leading to wrinkles, fine lines and sagging. Morpheus 8 is FDA-approved as a unique platform for sub-dermal adipose remodelling.
Radiofrequency and microneedling combination
Morpheus 8 is a modern medical platform featuring several different programmes, with tailored penetration depth and energy delivery for face and body treatments. Its main advantage is the combination of radiofrequency energy and microneedles. The treatment works by delivering radiofrequency energy via microneedles to stimulate collagen synthesis in the dermis. The energy does not stay on the skin's surface, but reaches the dermis, bringing about the desired changes. The depth and intensity of the microneedles are adjusted according to the region and the problem being treated. Shallower depths are used for delicate areas such as under-eye bags, while greater depths and intensities are used to eliminate double chins and treat the lower jawline region.
Morpheus8 triggers natural regeneration processes
The doctor places the device on the surface of the skin, applying energy between the needle and the external electrode. The microneedles create micro-injuries in the tissue, which triggers the natural healing and recovery mechanism, stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin. Heating the tissue at greater depths reshapes the subcutaneous tissue, and collagen is produced for several months after the treatment, further tightening and firming the skin.

Interestingly, it is an excellent choice when there is a need to treat hard-to-reach regions of the face and body. Therefore, those areas of the face and body that show wrinkles, discolouration or acne scars are suitable for this treatment. In practice, the most commonly treated areas are the face and neck, namely: the jawline, the lower part of the cheeks, the double chin, as well as malar oedemas.
Morpheus8 body treatments are a good alternative for people who want a deep treatment without an invasive approach. The effects achieved by Morpheus8
The effects achieved by Morpheus 8 are visible immediately after the first treatment. The skin becomes smooth, firmer and tighter. However, full results are achieved after a series of treatments, the number of which depends on the problem being treated. The skin will be visibly tightened and elastic to the touch, with reduced wrinkles and fine lines. The jawline will be defined, and the double chin almost unnoticeable. Acne scars will be softened, and as collagen and elastin are produced, the skin will become firmer and more radiant.

What indications does it treat?
Morpheus8 is used to tighten mildly to moderately lax skin on the face and body, soften fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, treat acne scars and stretch marks, as well as reduce localised fullness in the lower third of the face and submental area. The treatment stimulates collagen remodelling in the deeper layers of the skin and can also be used as part of an anti-ageing strategy for patients who wish to maintain skin quality and firmness.
Who is the ideal candidate for Morpheus8?
Ideal candidates are individuals in good general health who have mild to moderate skin laxity and want a non-surgical improvement in tone and texture. It is suitable for various skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, and certain body regions. In cases of pronounced excess skin or large fatty deposits, other or combined procedures should be considered.
What does a Morpheus8 treatment look like?
The procedure takes around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the region. After cleansing the skin, an anesthetic cream is applied. The microneedle applicator enters the skin to a controlled depth, while radiofrequency energy is emitted simultaneously. This induces controlled tissue coagulation and triggers the process of new collagen formation. Over the coming months, there is a gradual tightening and improvement in skin quality.
How long does the recovery take?
Redness and mild swelling most commonly occur and last for one to three days. The skin may remain sensitive for a few days. Sun exposure should be avoided and a high protection factor used. Gentle skincare and good skin hydration are recommended throughout the recovery period.
When will the effect of the Morpheus8 treatment be visible?

Is the treatment painful?
Thanks to the anaesthetic cream, the discomfort is bearable. During the procedure, pressure and warmth may be felt, but most patients tolerate the treatment well.
Is Morpheus8 safe?
When performed in controlled medical conditions and by a trained physician, the treatment is safe and clinically tested. The parameters are adjusted to the skin type and indication in order to achieve the optimal balance of efficacy and safety.
Does Morpheus8 melt facial fat?
No, when the goal is skin tightening. Fat tissue is broken down only when the energy is targeted deeper, at 3 to 4 mm, for example in the case of a double chin. When we are doing exclusively skin tightening and improving tone, the depth on the cheeks is strictly limited to 1.5 to 2 mm. Thus, the energy acts only in the dermis, where it stimulates the production of new collagen, while the fat tissue remains untouched.
During the treatment, we most commonly perform two to three passes at different depths within the skin itself: a deeper one for tightening, and a shallower one for texture, pores, and elasticity. Before starting, we adjust all parameters to suit your skin, in order to achieve the maximum tightening effect without losing facial volume.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
It can be combined with other procedures within a rejuvenation plan. We often combine it with Attiva with radio waves for more pronounced sagging and in patients over 45 years of age, when we want an additional effect on deeper structures and the double chin. In body contouring, it can be combined with the Alma PrimeX treatment. Simultaneous performance with fillers is not recommended; a time interval must be made, usually at least one month.
Who is not a candidate for treatment?
Individuals with significant excess skin requiring surgical tightening, as well as patients with certain medical conditions, may be referred for other therapeutic options following an examination.
Does Morpheus8 help with acne scars?
Morpheus8 can improve skin texture and certain acne scars, but it is not our first choice for this purpose. Before it, we most commonly recommend a CO₂ laser, subcision or a combination of methods, depending on the type and depth of the scars.
Contraindications
The treatment is not performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in cases of active infections or inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area, nor in the presence of certain systemic diseases, blood-clotting disorders, and malignant conditions.
