Lemon Bottle

Lemon Bottle is a preparation for injection lipolysis of small, localised fat deposits on the face and body, most commonly on the double chin, abdomen, flanks and upper arms. The treatment takes a few minutes and requires no downtime, and the fatty tissue in the treated region decreases gradually, through a series of treatments. At the Imedic Polyclinic, Lemon Bottle is one of two preparations we use for lipolysis, and Aqualyx.

What is Lemon Bottle?

Lemon Bottle is a concentrated solution that is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue using a fine needle. It contains riboflavin (vitamin B2), lecithin and bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple. The active substances stimulate the breakdown of fat cells in the treated area, and the body then gradually eliminates the broken-down fat naturally.

Lemon Bottle is not a weight loss method. It is intended for people with a stable body weight who have localised fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. We have explained how lipolysis works and how Lemon Bottle differs from Aqualyx on the page Lipolysis.

Lemon Bottle – composition, regions and combinations

Lemon Bottle contains three active ingredients: riboflavin (vitamin B2), which is involved in fat metabolism, lecithin, which affects the fat cell membrane, and bromelain, a pineapple enzyme with anti-inflammatory effects. Together, they promote the breakdown of fat cells in the region where the preparation is injected.

It is most commonly performed on the face for the double chin and cheeks. On the body, it is applied to smaller areas: the abdomen, flanks, upper arms, inner thighs and back. For larger body areas, the doctor often recommends Aqualyx, and the choice of product is decided during the consultation. Read more about the double chin treatment on the page Double chin removal.

Lemon Bottle is most commonly used for the face and smaller regions, and the interval between treatments is determined by the doctor based on tissue reaction. Aqualyx is used for larger regions on the body, where a more pronounced effect is needed. We have described both preparations and when each is chosen on the page Lipolysis.

When fatty tissue shrinks, the skin above it needs to be firm enough. Therefore, we often combine Lemon Bottle on the double chin with Attiva using radio waves or Morpheus8 skin-tightening treatment.

Treatment price Lemon Bottle

The price of the Lemon Bottle treatment depends on the region being treated and the amount of product required. You can check the approximate prices on the page Price list – body treatments, and the exact price is determined after an examination, in accordance with the condition and the goal of the treatment.

Answers to frequently asked questions

Following detailed consultations, we assess whether you are a candidate, depending on the region and the problem you wish to resolve. The treatment is intended for individuals with localised fatty deposits that do not respond to diet and physical activity.

No special preparation is required. After marking the area, the solution is precisely applied into the subcutaneous adipose tissue. The active substances work to break down fat cells, which are then metabolised and eliminated naturally. The procedure takes a few minutes. After the treatment, it is recommended to drink at least two litres of water a day to encourage the elimination of the broken-down fatty acids.

The treatment is short and well tolerated by most patients. You can feel the prick of a fine needle and a brief stinging sensation as the product is injected, and a local anaesthetic is used if necessary. After the treatment, mild redness, swelling or bruising are possible, which disappear within a few hours to a few days.

Immediately after the procedure, water intake (at least 300 ml) is advised. Sun exposure, saunas and extreme temperatures should be avoided over the next 48 hours. Proper nutrition and physical activity are important for maintaining the results.

Mild changes may be visible in the first few weeks, and the full effect is assessed after a series of treatments. The number of treatments is individual and depends on the region and the amount of fatty tissue. The treatment can be repeated no sooner than after seven days.

The procedure is performed in a medical setting, following an examination and a check for contraindications. As with any injection procedure, swelling, bruising, tenderness and temporary irregularities in the region are possible. Increased pain, spreading redness or an elevated temperature are reasons to contact a doctor immediately.

It can contribute to a better appearance of cellulite as it reduces local fat deposits, but it does not replace anti-cellulite treatment, in which we combine Shockwave therapy, muscle electrical stimulation and lymphatic drainage.

Lemon Bottle is not performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the case of active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, autoimmune diseases, blood clotting disorders, liver or kidney disease, diabetes and allergies to any of the product's ingredients, including soy and pineapple. During the initial examination, the doctor will assess whether the treatment is suitable for you.
