hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation are darker changes associated with the accumulation of melanin in the skin. A similar appearance of blemishes does not mean they have the same cause or are treated in the same way.
- Melasma It frequently affects larger, symmetrical areas of the face and is prone to recurrence.
- Post-inflammatory pigmentation they form after inflammation or injury to the skin, for example after acne.
- Sunspots They are associated with prolonged sun exposure; before an aesthetic treatment, the nature of the lesion should be confirmed.
The choice depends on the diagnosis, the depth of pigmentation and the risk of irritation. Chemical peels, lasers and microneedling are not interchangeable solutions for every blemish. An overview of other procedures is available on the page facial treatments.

What is Melanostop?
Melanostop is a professional chemical peel targeted at pigmentation. It can cause stinging, redness, sensitivity and peeling.
According to manufacturer's documentation for mesopeel melanostop tran3x, this formulation contains:
- azelaic acid 20%;
- resorcinol 10%;
- phytic acid 6%;
- tranexamic acid 3%.
Before the procedure, the specific product, its instructions and any potential allergies are checked. The composition in itself is not a guarantee of results.
What are the indications?
Melanostop is used for mild to moderate hyperpigmentation such as melasma, solar lentigines, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, as well as for evening out skin texture and treating photoageing.
What does a Melanostop peel treatment involve?
The treatment begins with cleansing and preparation of the skin. The product is applied according to the instructions for the specific formulation, while monitoring the skin's reaction. After the procedure is completed, appropriate care is applied. Approximately 35 minutes are allocated for the treatment.
Eventual combination with Dermapen or other procedures requires a separate assessment and plan; it is not automatically necessary for every patient.
Skin care and recovery after treatment
Following a chemical peel, redness, sensitivity and peeling may occur. The intensity and duration of the reaction depend on the condition of the skin and the protocol applied. Returning to everyday activities does not mean that the skin has fully recovered.
Follow your doctor's instructions for gentle cleansing, hydration and sun protection. Do not peel off flaking skin; discuss the timing of the reintroduction of makeup, exfoliants, retinoids and other active preparations with your doctor. Contact the clinic in the event of severe or unexpected reactions.
Melanostop – what are the results?
The aim of the treatment is to soften the appearance of certain blemishes and achieve a more even skin tone. The extent of improvement depends on the type and depth of pigmentation, skin reaction, and home care. Complete or permanent removal of pigmentation cannot be promised.
If the change does not respond as expected, it is necessary to reassess the plan, rather than independently increasing the exfoliation or active preparations.
How many treatments are needed?
The number of sessions and intervals depend on the type of pigmentation, skin condition, applied preparation and reaction to the previous treatment. The plan is determined during the consultation and adjusted at follow-up appointments.
Can pigmentation reappear?
Yes. Especially with melasma, improvement does not mean that the tendency to pigmentation has permanently disappeared. Sun protection, agreed home care, and follow-up appointments are important for maintaining results. A new treatment cycle is planned only after a skin assessment.
Contraindications
Before treatment, report any allergies to the ingredients of the preparations, cold sores, wounds, active infections and inflammatory skin conditions, a tendency to pronounced scarring, chronic illnesses, and any medication you are taking. Also state pregnancy or breastfeeding. The treatment is postponed when an assessment or the instructions for a specific product show that it is not suitable.
What is the price of the melanostop peel?
