What is the Alma DermaClear treatment?

Skin occasionally needs thorough cleansing, the removal of dead cells and a boost of hydration to maintain a healthy appearance. Classical treatments often involve several different procedures, whereas Alma DermaClear combines several important skincare steps into a single procedure. During the treatment, a gentle exfoliation of the surface layer of the skin is performed, along with deep pore cleansing and the infusion of active ingredients that help hydrate and revitalise the skin. Because of this, the treatment is suitable for various skin types – from oily and combination to dry and sensitive – as well as for skin that needs freshening up, pore cleansing and texture improvement.

DermaClear or microdermabrasion?

DermaClear uses solutions, a rotating tip and a vacuum in the cleansing and hydration procedure. Diamond microdermabrasion It is based on the mechanical exfoliation of the surface layer of the skin. The choice depends on skin sensitivity and the goal of the treatment.

These treatments do not replace a dermatological examination and treatment of active skin conditions. Surface cleansing should not be expected to remove deep scars. For other options, see overview of facial treatments.

DermaClear

Alma DermaClear combines surface exfoliation, cleansing and skin hydration. A rotating silicone tip, vacuum and dedicated solutions are used in three consecutive phases.

The choice of treatment depends on skin condition and skincare goals. Hydrodermabrasion is not a substitute for dermatological treatment of acne, pigmentation changes or scars.

The treatment comprises three phases: exfoliation, cleansing and hydration. The intensity of the work and the choice of solutions are tailored to the condition of the skin.

DermaClear can be a standalone skincare procedure. If you are also considering other treatments, their order and spacing are determined after a skin assessment. Combining it with an additional peel or microneedling is not automatically part of the treatment.

A monthly interval is often considered for maintenance, but the need for repetition and the number of visits are assessed individually.

The first phase is designed to remove dead cells from the skin's surface. According to the manufacturer's documentation, the EXFO solution contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and is used in the exfoliation phase.

Skin sensitivity and ingredient tolerance are checked prior to application. The exact composition of the applied preparation can be verified on its label.

In the second phase, the silicone tip and vacuum help remove impurities. For this phase, the manufacturer specifies the CLEANSE solution with salicylic acid (BHA).

The goal is to cleanse the skin and unclog pores. In cases of active, inflammatory acne, a dermatological assessment is required; this procedure does not replace acne treatment.

The final phase is focused on skin hydration. The manufacturer recommends the HYDRATE serum, intended for moisture replenishment, with antioxidants.

The choice of product is tailored to the skin and known allergies. The full list of ingredients is checked on the product label used during the treatment.

After the treatment, the skin may appear cleaner, smoother and more hydrated. The extent and duration of the change depend on the initial condition of the skin and the skincare routine between visits; the exact same result cannot be expected for every person.

DermaClear is intended for surface care and refreshment. For pronounced pigmentation, inflammatory acne or deeper scars, a separate plan after an examination is required.

Transient redness and sensitivity are possible. If you are planning the treatment before an important event, allow time for the skin to settle, especially for your first visit.

Answers to frequently asked questions

DermaClear can be considered for congested pores, surface imperfections and skin in need of hydration. Suitability is assessed according to the current condition of the skin, rather than simply whether it is oily, dry or combination.

Sensitive or irritated skin requires special care. In cases of active inflammation, infection, or other dermatological conditions, it is first necessary to assess whether the treatment should be postponed or an alternative approach chosen.

Depending on the skin type and condition, the treatment can last up to an hour. In order to effectively reach all areas of the face, there are two special attachments, a smaller and a larger one. The larger attachment is designed for treating the cheeks, and the smaller one for the T-zone and the area around the nose. Also, DermaClear 3 in 1 is suitable for treating the skin of the neck and décolletage.

During the treatment, the action of the vacuum and a tingling sensation from the solution may be felt. The intensity of the sensation depends on skin sensitivity; any discomfort should be reported immediately to the person performing the treatment so that the procedure can be adjusted.

Following the treatment, redness and sensitivity are possible. Return to normal activities is usually quick, but skin calming time is not the same for everyone.

Before your arrival, please state which products and medications you use, known allergies, and recently performed treatments. Based on this, you will receive instructions on whether and how to adjust your skincare routine prior to the procedure. Do not stop prescribed therapy on your own.

Before the treatment starts, make-up and surface impurities are removed, and the skin is assessed in order to select the appropriate solutions and working intensity.

The return to everyday activities is usually quick, but transient redness and skin sensitivity may occur. Follow the instructions you receive after the assessment and treatment: gentle care, hydration, and regular sun protection. Adjust the time for returning to active preparations and additional peels according to the skin's reaction and the advice of the expert staff. If the reaction persists or worsens, contact the clinic.

Transient redness, stinging, sensitivity or skin irritation are possible. The risk and duration of the reaction depend on the condition of the skin and its tolerance to the solution and the procedure.

Follow the provided skincare instructions. If the reaction worsens or the skin does not settle, contact the clinic for an assessment.

Although the Alma DermaClear treatment is gentle and suitable for most skin types, there are certain conditions when the treatment is not recommended.

The treatment is not performed in cases of active infections or inflammatory skin processes, open wounds, cold sores in the active phase, nor in the presence of severe dermatological conditions on the treated area. It is also not recommended for individuals who are allergic to any of the active ingredients used during the treatment.

Rosacea is also a contraindication for the DermaClear treatment in our clinic. If you have been diagnosed with rosacea or persistent facial redness and stinging, a dermatological assessment and the selection of suitable skincare are required first.

It is always recommended to review and assess the condition of the skin prior to treatment to determine whether the procedure is safe and appropriate for your skin.
