What is Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo Structura contains 90 mg of hyaluronic acid in 2 ml. It is developed by the manufacturer IBSA for facial treatment and fatty tissue restoration. Its purpose differs from that of a conventional skinbooster, which is primarily focused on skin hydration.
Profhilo and Structure – what is the difference?
Profhilo is used for skin hydration and elasticity, whereas Profhilo Structura is also intended for changes in the superficial facial fat tissue. They differ in their purpose and injection technique.

Results are evaluated gradually

This shows why the outcome is evaluated over time. The study is observational and does not represent a guarantee of results for every patient.

Why is hyaluronic acid important?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural tissue component that binds water. The effect of the injectable preparation also depends on its formulation, the region, and the layer of application. Therefore, ordinary skin hydration should not be equated with the treatment of superficial facial adipose tissue.
How does Profhilo Structura work?
Structura is used with the aim of improving facial tissue support and appearance in selected superficial fat compartments. It contains high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid complexes obtained by NAHYCO technology.
Clinical studies describe changes to tissue and facial appearance, but do not justify the promise of generating new fat cells or an equal lifting effect in all patients. The plan is tailored to the anatomy and the degree of changes.
Who is Profhilo Structura for?
Treatment is considered in adults in whom examination shows loss of support and changes in superficial facial fat tissue. Dry skin alone is not a sufficient reason for choosing Structure.
It is not a universal preventive treatment for young people, nor is it a replacement for surgical correction of pronounced excess skin. The doctor assesses whether Structura is more appropriate, Profhilo for skin quality or another procedure.

What does a Profhilo Structura treatment look like?
Following an examination and a discussion about expectations, the doctor determines the region, the method of application and the amount of the product. Structura is applied into the appropriate tissue layer, according to the product instructions and the individual plan. Discomfort, swelling and bruising are possible.
Unlike the preparations primarily intended for hydration, described in the review skin booster, here the focus is on the support of the superficial facial fat tissue.
What are the effects of the Profhilo Structura treatment?
The aim is to improve tissue support and facial contour in suitably indicated patients. The change can be subtle and gradual. It is not possible to promise the same degree of improvement in all patients beforehand.
Does Profhilo Structura change the volume and contour of the face?
The structure is not used in the same way as a classic filler for the precise shaping of an individual region. However, it can affect facial fullness and contour, so the claim that it „does not provide volume at all” is not sufficiently precise. The goal and limits of the treatment are explained by a doctor after an examination.
How many Profhilo Structura treatments are needed?
The initial course typically involves two sessions about a month apart. Additional treatments and maintenance depend on the doctor's assessment, tissue response and the instructions for the specific product.
When will I see results and how long do they last?
The result is evaluated through the weeks and months following the initial cycle. Immediate swelling is not the final effect. Published research has a limited follow-up duration, so not everyone should be promised the same timeframe for the occurrence or duration of results.
Is the treatment painful?
Before the procedure, an anaesthetic cream is applied to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. During the application, a mild stinging sensation or pressure may be felt, but patients generally tolerate this well.
Is there a recovery period?
Following application, redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising may occur. Their duration varies among patients, so resolution within a few hours is not guaranteed. The doctor will provide instructions for aftercare and the resumption of activities. If severe or increasing pain, unusual skin discoloration or visual disturbances occur, seek medical attention immediately.
What is the difference between Profhilo and Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo It is aimed primarily at skin hydration, elasticity, and quality. Structura is also intended for the treatment of superficial facial adipose tissue when there is an appropriate indication. The preparations are not interchangeable; the choice and possible combination are determined by a physician.
Can I have Sculptra if I already have filler or a collagen stimulator?
Yes, Structura can be part of a plan that includes fillers or collagen stimulators. At the consultation, we agree on the order and interval between treatments for the region you wish to treat.
Contraindications
The treatment is not without risk. It is not used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in cases of active inflammation in the treated region, hypersensitivity to the ingredients, or other contraindications from the product instructions. Diseases, therapies, and previous aesthetic procedures should be reported to the doctor. The final decision is made after an examination.
