Have you noticed how the face does not lose its youthful appearance just because of wrinkles, but because of something deeper – the loss of structure, elasticity, and volume? Over time, skin becomes thinner, less resilient, and slower to regenerate, so the face begins to look tired even when you are rested. That is why more and more patients today are looking for treatments that do not just give an immediate effect, but work on the quality of the skin from within. This is precisely where HArmonyCa stands out.
Read the overview of other preparations and the differences between them on the page Collagen stimulators. The choice of treatment is determined after an examination and skin assessment.
Unlike traditional fillers, which generally have a single function, this hybrid treatment combines two mechanisms of action – immediate hydration and volume, as well as the stimulation of one's own collagen. In other words, it's not just about how the face looks immediately after the treatment, but how it changes over the coming months.
It is interesting that clinical trials show that this kind of approach can improve not only the appearance of skin at rest, but also its behaviour during movement – meaning a more natural result in everyday facial expressions. Because of this, HArmonyCa is increasingly seen not as a classic filler, but as a treatment that gradually restores skin quality and support – in a way that looks discreet yet noticeable.
What is HArmonyCa and how does a hybrid filler work?
HArmonyCa is a modern aesthetic treatment that belongs to the group of so-called hybrid fillers – meaning it does not use just a single active component, but combines multiple mechanisms of action in a single application. In practice, this means that this treatment not only provides an immediate aesthetic effect, but also influences processes in the skin that develop over time. Unlike traditional fillers which rely exclusively on hyaluronic acid,
HArmonyCa combines:
- hyaluronic acid (HA) – for immediate hydration and volume
- calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) – for stimulating collagen production
This combination provides a dual effect: the face looks fresher immediately after the treatment, but the skin quality improves further in the following months. It is important to understand that with age, the amount of collagen decreases and its structure is compromised. This is precisely what leads to skin sagging, loss of volume and the appearance of wrinkles. HArmonyCa works by not only replacing lost volume, but also encouraging the skin to reactivate its own regenerative processes.
As clinical practice demonstrates, the calcium microspheres in this filler act as a kind of skin “support” and stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen. This process does not happen immediately, but gradually – which contributes to a more natural and long-lasting result. Because of this, HArmonyCa is often described as a treatment that does not abruptly change facial structure, but gradually improves it – restoring the skin's firmness, elasticity and stability that is lost over time.
Hyaluronic acid + calcium: how does this combination work?
To understand why HArmonyCa is different from traditional fillers, it is important to know how its two key ingredients work - hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite. Hyaluronic acid is already well-known in aesthetic medicine. Its role is to attract and retain water in the skin, providing immediate hydration and a mild volume boost. Because of this, the face looks fresher and more rested immediately after the treatment. However, its effect is temporary and does not significantly affect the skin's structure.
On the other hand, calcium hydroxyapatite has a completely different role. It does not act merely as a “filler”, but as a stimulator. Its microparticles activate fibroblasts – the cells responsible for producing collagen. It is precisely this process, known as neocollagenesis, that leads to a gradual improvement in skin firmness and elasticity.
This combination enables a dual effect: hyaluronic acid provides an immediate visual result, while calcium triggers long-term changes in the skin's structure. Thanks to this, the result does not look sudden or artificial. Instead, the skin changes gradually – becoming firmer, more compact and naturally tighter.
Why does HArmonyCa give a natural effect?
One of the first things patients think about when considering fillers is: “Will I look like I've had something done?” That fear of an “overdone” or unnatural look is sometimes completely justified.
That is precisely why the approach to HArmonyCa treatments is different. Instead of adding volume where it is most visible – in the middle of the face – the focus shifts to its outer parts.
The sides of the face, which lose support over time, regain their structure. When they are discreetly “lifted”, the whole face starts to look fresher, but without an obvious reason that you can immediately spot. Think of it as gently tightening the canvas on a painting – nothing has been added, but everything looks more regular and firmer. In the same way, the treatment can soften fine “accordion” wrinkles that appear when smiling and restore a natural jawline, without altering your features.
As Goldie et al. (2018) state in the guidelines for subcutaneous tissue regeneration, CaHA particles create a scaffold around which a new network of collagen is built, restoring the skin's lost firmness. Therefore, the result does not look abrupt. You do not look “different” – just refreshed and more rested.

Which regions do we treat with the HArmonyCa filler?
HArmonyCa is applied in areas that play a key role in maintaining the structure and contours of the face. The focus of the treatment is not just on individual wrinkles, but on the regions that provide support for the skin and influence the overall appearance.
The most commonly treated regions are:
- Cheeks (middle third of the face). Restoring volume in this area achieves better tissue support and a mild lifting effect.
- Jawline. Treatment of this region helps to define the facial contour and reduce sagging.
- Lateral (outer) parts of the face. These are areas that play a key role in facial tightening, even though at first glance they do not seem like the primary ones. It is easiest to understand through a simple example – when you gently lift the skin towards the temples with your fingers, the face immediately looks tighter, the contours are clearer, and the central part of the face is lifted. A very similar principle is used in HArmonyCa treatments. When volume is restored in the outer zones, better tissue support is achieved, so the face is not pulled downwards, but is lifted naturally. This approach gives a discreet yet highly effective result – without directly filling in wrinkles, the face looks more rested and harmonious.
What does the HArmonyCa treatment look like step by step?
The HArmonyCa treatment begins with a consultation, during which the doctor assesses the skin condition, volume distribution and how the face changes in motion. The focus is not on a single region, but on the overall facial structure, ensuring the result is harmonious and natural. This is followed by skin preparation. The areas to be treated are cleaned and disinfected, and an anaesthetic cream is applied if necessary to reduce discomfort. The product itself already contains an anaesthetic, making the treatment tolerable for most patients.
The injection is performed carefully, through several predefined points. The preparation is distributed in the deeper layers of the skin, most frequently in areas that provide support to the face, such as the lateral parts and regions that influence the contour. This method of working makes it possible to achieve an even result and a natural appearance, without sudden changes. After the treatment, it is possible to notice a mild improvement in volume and a fresher appearance of the skin.
Transient reactions such as mild swelling, redness or small bruises may also occur, which typically subside within a few days.
When are the results of the HArmonyCa treatment visible?
One of the main advantages of the HArmonyCa treatment is that the result does not just happen at a single moment. Instead, the effect develops over time – it begins right after the treatment, but further improves in the months that follow. This “double effect” is what sets it apart from most other fillers.
Effect immediately after the treatment
Immediately after the injection, a slight improvement in volume and a fresher appearance of the skin can be noticed. The face looks more rested, and the contours may be slightly more defined. This effect is the result of hyaluronic acid, which attracts water and provides immediate hydration and fullness. The change is subtle and natural – without sudden transformations. It is important to bear in mind that in the first few days there may also be slight swelling, so the true result is only assessed after the skin has settled.
Effect after 2–3 months
Over the coming weeks, the main part of the effect takes place – collagen stimulation. The skin gradually becomes firmer, more elastic and more resistant to sagging. As clinical practice also shows, this process develops over time because calcium hydroxylapatite encourages fibroblasts to produce new collagen. Precisely for this reason, the result does not look “done”, but naturally enhanced. After 2 to 3 months, the face acquires a more stable structure, better support and a more even appearance. This is the stage when most patients notice the biggest difference – yet without the impression that the change is sudden or artificial.
Are you a candidate for HArmonyCa?
The HArmonyCa treatment is designed for people who want a natural improvement in their skin's appearance, without sudden or artificial changes. It is not just about filling wrinkles, but about restoring the quality and support of the skin, which is why candidate selection is important for achieving an optimal result.
Skin type and concerns HArmonyCa is a good choice for people who notice:
- loss of volume in the mid and lower face
- slacker skin and weaker contour definition a tired or “dropped” facial appearance
- changes in skin quality, such as reduced elasticity
It is particularly suitable for those who do not want pronounced changes, but rather a subtle refreshment and gradual improvement. It can also be a good choice for people who have already had aesthetic treatments, but now want something that also affects skin quality, rather than just volume.
When is the treatment not recommended?
HArmonyCa gives the best results for mild to moderate changes, but it is not intended for all types of ageing. This treatment is not an adequate choice in situations where there is:
- marked excess skin
- significant sagging (ptosis) of fatty tissue
- need for a significant lifting effect
In such cases, HArmonyCa cannot replace a surgical procedure, but can only have a limited effect. Therefore, it is important to realistically assess the condition of the skin and facial structure.
We recommend planning your injectable treatment at least two weeks before an important event. If a series of treatments is required, the plan should start earlier to allow enough time for the full effect to develop.

Does the HArmonyCa treatment hurt?
How long does the effect of the HArmonyCa treatment last?
How long is the recovery after the treatment?
The first changes in some patients can be noticed after just a few treatments, which was also the case here. However, a gradual development of results over several weeks is normally expected. The body reacts differently in each person, depending on the initial condition, metabolism and continuity of treatments. The most pronounced effects usually come after a completed cycle.
What should be avoided after the treatment?
Treatments that affect the quality of the skin and subcutaneous tissue can lead to a visible reduction in cellulite, particularly in mild and moderate cases. The effect is reflected in a smoother skin surface and a more even structure. It is important to emphasize that the result depends on the initial condition and that maintaining the effect requires continuing with healthy habits.
How many treatments are needed?
The number of treatments depends on the individual condition and the goal you want to achieve. In practice, a series of treatments scheduled over a certain period of time is most commonly recommended. In this case, the first changes were visible after just two treatments, but for a stable and long-term result, it is recommended to continue therapy through a plan defined during the consultation.
Is HArmonyCa a safe treatment?
Treatment price HArmonyCa
The price of HArmonyCa treatment depends on the amount of product used, the regions treated, and the individual plan determined during the consultation. Most commonly, between one and two syringes are needed, but an exact assessment is made after the examination. For detailed information on prices, you can check the page Price list on our website.
Contraindications
HArmonyCa treatment is not suitable for all patients, which is why a consultation with a doctor is a crucial step before the procedure itself. The treatment is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, nor in the case of active infections or inflammatory skin changes in the region being treated. In addition, special caution is required for individuals with auto-immune diseases, blood clotting disorders, or those using certain therapies such as anticoagulants. In rare cases, reactions are also possible in people with a known hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the preparation. Depending on the general state of health and the goals of the treatment, the doctor may recommend postponing or adapting the procedure.
